Mission

In order to develop the next generation of redistricting experts and expand the education of community organizations pertaining to census and redistrcting related issues, the Community Census & Redistricting Institute is dedicated to:

  • Implement an expert redistricting preparation and community education program, including guidance on media communications
  • Perform census and redistricting research and develop scholarly publications
  • Maintain a website that will be a "clearinghouse" for census & redistricting information pertaining to the minority community
  • Facilitate collaboration between academic and community organizations on census and redistricting related issues and efforts
